The possibilities of variation in sound and the choice of a historical tuning help to create a comprehensive framework for Bach's intentions. For this album, I have chosen a Werckmeister temperament to serve as a base and in which I hav emodified some fifths for the variations in minor. This results in a clear and relaxed light cast upon the variations in major, whereas variations in minor, which only seem to tarry before flat signs and then modulate in distant keys, are given a much more animated, almost coarse slant. - Davdi Pozzi  Price: $27.98 |
