This new release from Harp & Co is a tribute to the masterpiece work of Maurice Ravel: “Introduction and Allegro.” This piece was commissioned by the Erard harp manufacturer to promote their instruments, and later this piece became one of the major works in the harp repertoire. The work is still frequently performed by harpists today. On this new release, with the same septet instrumentation, four other pieces inspired by Ravel’s work are featured. Robert Groslot’s “Poeme Secret,” Sergiu Natra’s “Pour Nicanor, and Michel Lysight’s “A Tribute to Philip K. Dick,” are all receiving on this album their world premiere recordings.
