Songs & Lullabies: New Works For Solo Cello

Brilliant cellist Robert Irvine has commissioned 18 new works for solo cello to be released on this album, Songs and Lullabies. This project was inspired by the struggles of disadvantaged and mistreated children across the globe. An impressive roster of Irvine’s personal friends have contributed a short solo piece to this project. Irvine’s alertness and attention to detail has enhanced every one of these tracks. Robert Irvine has served in many posts throughout his successful career, including principal positions with the Scottish Opera Orchestra, Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, and Britten Pears Orchestra. He is also a founding member of the Brindisi String Quartet and the Da Vinci Piano Trio. All profits from this release will be donated to Unicef.
