This new release presents Carl Orff’s masterwork opera in a benchmark recording that will set a new standard of sound quality and interpretation. “Die Kluge,” composed in 1943, is written in the style of a fairy tale with the moral of a fable, and tells the story of a king, a peasant, and a clever girl.
