He is sometimes known as “the Nordic Chopin.” Throughout his career, Palmgren wrote a great deal of piano music. In fact, his extant catalog includes 300 individual piano works and five piano concertos. This release includes the first three of Palmgren’s piano concertos, along with seven short pieces for violin and piano.
