The work is by composer James Kallembach, who is regarded as one of the most creative and innovative modern composers. He has been commissioned by such ensembles as Seraphic Fire, Brooklyn Art Song Society, Pacific Chorale, ASCAP, and many more. For this recording, Kallembach conducts the professional vocal ensemble of Rockefeller Chapel at the University of Chicago, the Decani.
