TRANSPORTS PUBLICS BORSTLAP, THOMAS BAETE

This recording is the first ever to be entirely devoted to the works of composer Anthony Poole (1629-1692). While a great deal of his music was based on improvisation, luckily, some was written down and survives today. This album strives to show a wide variety of his output, as he was a multi-genre composer. The pieces on this recording have been performed on period instruments by some of the finest scholars of historical performance practice, including Annelies Decock, Elisabeth Seitz, and Thomas Baete, who was also the musical director for this project.
