BAND OF THE GRENADIER GUARDS MILLER

The Band of the Grenadier Guards was founded by royal warrant in 1685- the same year as the birth of luminaries Bach and Handel. Originally, the group was formed to be King Charles II’s bodyguard after his exile. Commemorative works on this release include an arrangement of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Russian Easter Festival Overture, Edward German’s Coronation March and Hymn, which was composed for King George V’s coronation in 1911, and the title track which was written by one of the great virtuoso pianists, Adela Verne. +All of the tracks on this release have been restored and remastered.
