This new release is Fredrik Ullen’s fifth installment in his survey of these works, and features twelve of the 100 studies. Sorabji’s Transcendental Studies Nos 72-83 are featured on this release. Especially intriguing is No 75, a Passacaglia, which is one of the longest of these works at almost 29 minutes. The piece receieved its debut performance in 2003 by Fredrik Ullen himself.
