Wild Man Dance / Charles Lloyd (lp)

Since 1992 Lloyd had edited his music in ECM but this new album is from Blue Note but this no mean that his music have changed-This is a very lyrical and emotive suite that in certain way is a a total looking back to old influences, oriental music, lyrical jazz…and many more. If you see the musicians you can understand more what I say. Joe Sanders and bass, Gerald Cleaver on drums, Gerald Clayton on piano, all of them, great jazz musicians, but also includes Sokratis Sinopulos in lyra and Miklos Lucaks on Cymbalon. Orient and occident. He is now in the top of his game, technically and sentimental. This is a live recording in Wroclaw on november 2013, the sound is very good and the production too /(Don Was). The suite have a VI movements and are really good., more of 70 minutes of pure Charles Lloyd, of all kind the Charles Lloyd of his history. Very nice to hear and very exiting. Lloyd still on great conditions, less abstract than in his ECM period but great, in fact a masterpiece
