On 70 CDs “KARAJAN – THE OPERA RECORDINGS” features the 14 operas Karajan recorded for DGG – from “Carmen” to “Parsifal”, from “The Merry Widow” to “Rosenkavalier”, from Mozart to Puccini. And, of course, the complete “Ring”. Incorporated are Karajan’s 8 opera recordings for DECCA (+ Verdi’s “Falstaff” that was originally released on Philips), as well as 5 live recordings from the Salzburg Festival, including, as bonus, Haydn’s “The Creation”.
