One of about 20 chamber works, Pierne’s Quintette en trois parties Op. 41, in e, for piano and strings was composed 1916-17. Louis Vierne composed his very large-scale quintet in Switzerland during 1917-18. Pianist Stéphane Lemelin directs this discovery series for ATMA Classique.
