Drawing inspiration from Bach’sChorales and Two Part Inventions andtwo of Schumann’s piano cycles, theworks on this recording create fresh andunique sound worlds from a variety ofpercussion and keyboard instrumentssuch as tubular bells, crotales, preparedpiano, celesta and toy piano. “The fivesolo and chamber works collected herespan a period of seven years, from 2006to 2013, and illustrate the significance ofkeyboard and percussion instruments inmy music throughout this period.
