Hungarian violinist and conductor Sándor Végh is perhaps best known as one of the greatest chamber music performers of the twentieth century. Végh focused the last thirty years of his career on conducting, leading his own Végh Chamber Orchestra as well as such famous ensembles as the Vienna Philharmonic. This remastered 1992 recording features a live performance from the vaults of the Österreichischer Rundfunk.
