This radio opera serial is based on the true story of a mummified baby found in a Toronto home’s floorboards in the 1920s. Further investigation at the time revealed a cast of characters straight from a mystery novel: the glamorous vamp, the mysterious houseguest, the prudish and suicidal wife, the adulterous husband and the victimized little girl. Composer Dean Burry’s CBC commissioned work was extremely well received, earning a Prix Italia Award nomination in 2010. Mr. Burry is most well known for his opera "The Brothers Grimm", seen by over 150,000 children across Canada since 2001.
