Further investigation at the time revealed a cast of characters straight from a mystery novel: the glamorous vamp, the mysterious houseguest, the prudish and suicidal wife, the adulterous husband and the victimized little girl. Composer Dean Burry’s CBC commissioned work was extremely well received, earning a Prix Italia Award nomination in 2010.
