The performances span thirty-five years, from 1983-2008, and feature a plethora of top-tier operatic talent, including Luciano Pavarotti and Mirella Freni (La Bohème), José Cura (Edgar, Manon Lescaut) and Eva Marton and José Carreras (Turandot). The bonus material runs to more than four hours and includes Puccini (A Tony Palmer film), performances from the ORF (Austrian) Archives of Schwester (Suor) Angelica and Gianni Schicchi, both sung in German from 1959 and 1960, and a lavish 100-page book with rare material from the Puccini family archive.
