The Last Three Symphonies
Orchestra of the 18th century; Bruggen
Composed by: Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus
Conductor Frans Brüggen's earlier visions of the three final symphonies by Mozart are now three decades old. Now, with his Orchestra of the 18th century, he has chosen to release his new views of these works as part of his “Grand Tour” Glossa series. The Dutch maestro has been regularly engaging with Mozart throughout his career. A well-considered booklet essay accompanies this new release, available on two CDs and recorded live in Rotterdam.
