Heitor Villa-Lobos is one of the principal Brazilian composers of the twentieth century. His tenth symphony, called 'Amerindia', combines Tupinamba, Portuguese and Latin languages in fusion of European and Indian cultures that is a hallmark of his output. The work is performed by the Orqueta Sinfónica de Tenerife joined by four choirs, all under the direction of Víctor Palbo Pérez.
