The Piano Sonata No.1 and the Grande Humoreske present the dreamlike universe of Schumann, with its contrasts, its madness and its poetry. These two tormented works were composed as the composer waited desperately to marry his beloved Clara. Laloum, 2009 winner of the Clara Haskil Competition (at age 22), is a pianist to watch.
