Sospiro Records announces the release by English saxophonist Rob Buckland of Gameshow, a new collection of saxophone concertos by contemporary composers Michael Ball, Andy Scott, Graham Fitkin, and Jacob ter Veldhuis. Buckland, who is Saxophone Professor and Fellow at the RNCM as well as a member of the Apollo Saxophone Quartet, Equivox Trio and ensembles such as the Michael Nyman Band, the Halle Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Ensemble 10:10, has been commissioning new works for the saxophone throughout his professional career and three of the concertos on Gameshow were written especially for him.
