On this recording, 26-year-old soprano Julie Fuchs, recent winner of a Victoire de la Musique Classique for "Lyrical Revelation of the Year" and the Gabriel Dessurget prize at the 2011 Aix-en-Provence Festival, sings a selection of early songs by Debussy and Mahler. Accompanied here by pianist Alphonse Semin, Fuchs has been celebrated in roles such as Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Urgande in Amadis de Gaule and the title role in Acis et Galatee.
