The album was recorded in New York in 2009 and originally released in France on the Marge label, but now sees a proper international release from Aparté. Grimal composed or co-composed nine of the album's fifteen tracks. She described the sessions as, "An incredible encounter. A moment suspended in time. A waking dream… or the awakening of a dream?"
